Suspicious Fires?

Don't those brush fires in Oklahoma and Texas seem suspicious?

I can see the one in Oklahoma being an accident, but I thought it awfully strange that the fire in Texas started right after the one in Oklahoma was shown on television.

I'm suspecting arson in Texas, by a copycat.

But, it'll probably never be proved, unless the perpetrator brags about his crime, which frequently does happen.

Anyway, as a former peace officer and firefighter, that's what I'm thinking.

Yesterday, I was watching the news on television and was struck by the thoughts which came to me.

In the now typical propaganda we call "news", the government was bragging about how efficiently the Christmas travel went at the airports, and how safe everyone felt with all the enhanced security.

They showed film of a passenger, standing quietly in stocking feet, with arms extended, as security personnel slowly passed a metal detecting wand all over his body.

Doesn't that remind you of something?

Do you remember the films and documented reports of the Jews being processed for shipment to the death camps by the Nazis?

Didn't the Jews, in almost every instance, passively cooperate, right up to the moment the gas chamber doors were slammed shut?

And didn't those Jews who survived manage to stay alive only if they betrayed other Jews?

How are we different today?

Why isn't there even a whimper of protest at the airport?

Will American citizens ever fight back?

Why aren't the airport security personnel being openly attacked by outraged mobs?

Why aren't Federal Aviation Agency officials being subjected to citizen arrest, or harassed, or assassinated?

Why aren't the airport terminals now nothing but smoking rubble, embers, and ashes?

Why isn't every commercial airliner in America grounded, until the rights and dignity of American citizens are fully restored?

There were isolated instances where the Jews did embarrass the Nazis by heroically fighting back, such as the uprising in the Warsaw Ghetto, and the revolts and mass escapes at Sobibor and Treblinka concentration camps.

Contemporary Americans actually have an advantage over the Jews in the Third Reich.

Everything we need to fight against our government agents is still legal in most places, although not in Washington, D.C., where I live.

Firearms of every type are legal, including civilian versions of military weapons.

(NOTE: Automatic weapons are not necessary, as I can fire and reload semi-automatic weapons very rapidly, and so can you.

Also, when waging guerilla warfare against a superior force, it is best not to confront the enemy, but to fire only one shot, and then retreat.)

Four wheel drive off road vehicles are legal.

Cellular telephones and notebook computers with wi-fi connections are legal.

Kevlar vests are legal.

Stun guns are legal.

Gas masks are legal.

Gas grenades and stun grenades are legal.

Dynamite and black powder are legal.

Camping gear and backpacks are legal.

(NOTE: Jews were not permitted backpacks or camping gear in the Third Reich.)

Books on manufacturing explosives, gases, poisons, and booby traps are legal.

There used to be a fellow here at the Soldiers' Home, who is now deceased.

Being a nuclear physicist, he was very intelligent and highly educated, and as an amateur astronomer, I used to enjoy listening to him discourse about all sorts of stuff that I knew nothing about.

He surprised me one day with an angry tirade condemning the Jews.

It wasn't that he hated Jews per se, but he despised them for so passively submitting to the Nazis, and quietly going to their death without offering any resistance.

In his opinion, if the Jews wouldn't fight, then they deserved to die.

So, what about us Americans today?

When will we tell our government that enough is too much already?

As for myself, I won't go to the airport, precisely because of the undue humiliation being forced on the passengers.

Even though it's far more expensive, and much slower, I prefer riding the choo-choo train, because they still allow more individual freedom.

However, if the railroads start doing the same thing the airlines are, when it's time for me to return to the "high lonesome" of my beloved Great American West (hopefully, in a few months), I'll shoulder my backpack and guitar and hitch-hike, or ride freight trains, camping out as I go.

Our government officials will not listen to us.

Our government has used the attacks of 11 September 2001 as an excuse to justify suspending the CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES, and the inherent rights of the individual.

If we don't fight back now, we'll forfeit our children's liberty forever.

By our apathy and ignorance, we've already given up way too much.

New Song: "THE CELTIC FESTIVAL"

As you may remember from the previous "Christmas Greetings" e-mail, my original idea was to compose a song about Scotland and Clan Henderson, possibly in Gaelic.

But, for the time being, that idea will have to remain a work in progress.

As you can see, the song I did compose is completely different.

I still have to memorize it, but I have rehearsed it several times, and I think it will do.

My Christmas Greetings To You!!!

(Pronounced, "Nol-Yeek Kree-yell ah-gus Blee-yah-nah Vah Oor", that is Scottish Gaelic for: "CHRISTMAS HEARTY AND YEAR WELL NEW!!!")

With that, you have my sincere wishes for a lovely traditional Christmas and New Year's holiday, along with a wee bit o' the Auld Lang Syne.

My room here at the Ol' Soldiers' Home is decorated with a two-foot artificial tree, having blinking colored lights, and I have a Nativity scene on my computer screen, along with a screensaver slide show of pictures and photographs from Christmases past.

I just now awoke from a sound sleep, with a bit of a song beginning in my head.

It's just an idea, but I'm working on it.

If I'm successful, it'll be a song about Scotland, a country I've never seen and know little about, and maybe I'll even pen some verses about Clan Henderson.

I don't yet know if the song will be in Gaelic (which I'm almost certain to get wrong!), English, or a combination of both English and Gaelic, such as the Scottish Christmas carol I composed last year.

The melody that's in my head is absurdly simple, so anybody can sing it, even a wee tyke.

In fact, I think it's going to be a children's song about Scotland.

Anyway, I'll kick it around and see if I can make it work.

If the idea does develop into a complete song, I'll post it in my blog, and share it with kinfolk and clansmen.

On the radio, I listen to WASH-FM 97.1, a local radio station which plays a variety of Christmas songs throughout December.

P.A.T.R.I.O.T. Act should be immediately arrested, jailed, forced to stand trial, and publicly executed for high treason against the United States of America.

A few weeks ago, I was watching a documentary on the History Channel about Germany's autobahn.

A pioneering engineering marvel, and the inspiration for America's interstate highway system, the autobahn was constructed by the Third Reich, using slave labor.

At the same time the autobahn was being constructed, Germany was developing and manufacturing military tanks, weapons, aircraft, and vehicles, almost all of it technologically innovative.

Even now, America's M-60 machine gun and the American soldiers' "fritz" helmet are copies of the ones used by the Nazis, and the Soviet AK-47 rifle copied the German assault rifle.

Anyway, this all had me thinking about what a stupid genius Adolph Hitler was.

Give the man credit - - - , he did raise Germany out of the ashes, and he created a powerful, influential nation, with wonderful new technology.

But, he also made some obviously stupid choices.

For instance, if instead of war materials, if Germany's industrial plants had concentrated their research and development on manufacturing earth moving and heavy construction equipment, they could have used that equipment to construct their autobahn, instead of using slave labor.

Then, Germany could have made fortunes exporting their new technology to other countries, including constructing super highways.

As for the Jews, Gypsies, Slavs, and others disapproved of by the Third Reich, there were certainly better long range options than huge and inefficient extermination camps.

With the unimaginable fortunes that Germany would have realized from exporting heavy equipment technology, the Third Reich could have easily paid for comfortable relocations to other countries, without incurring the vindictive wrath of the whole wide world.

If you stop and think about it, the Second World War and the Jewish Holocaust need never to have happened!

On the other hand, were it not for the effects of the Holocaust, would there be a State of Israel today?

I wonder if we don't have a similar problem in the United States right now?

Just think what we could accomplish if our efforts were focused on peaceful applications and domestic improvements, rather than questionable military adventures in foreign lands.

We are supposed to set an example for the rest of the world to emulate, of their own free will.

Instead, we have lost sight of our national virtue, becoming so corrupt and perverted, that America is now little different than the countries whom we're allegedly supposed to be helping improve.

How can the peoples of the world ever enjoy the blessings of liberty when America no longer sets the proper example for them to follow?

Why should other nations want to copy us?

Apathy and ignorance got us into this situation.

With the merciful help of Almighty God, knowledge and passion can still rescue us.

I just learned something that may be so significant, I'm immediately sharing this information with everyone I can, because the knowledge may well save someone's life, maybe even many lives.

Last night, I was listening to one of my favorite radio programs, the all night talk show, "COAST TO COAST AM", hosted last night by Art Bell, a very rare treat, since Art Bell, the original host of that program, has retired from radio broadcasting, and seldom does that show anymore.

The guest on last night's broadcast was Dr. Tess Garritsen, the authoress of "GRAVITY" and "VACANCY".

During the course of their discussion, a reference was made to the threat of a Bird Flu pandemic, and Dr. Garritsen casually mentioned that her family "had a plan".

Art Bell jumped right on that, eliciting further details for his audience.

Dr. Garritsen said that, due to the seriousness of this problem, just as soon as it was verified that the Bird Flu virus was going from person to person, and not just bird to human, she would telephone her son in college, telling him to return home immediately.

Their home is in an isolated area, with a dependable source of water, and they have gradually stockpiled prepared foods and fuel, items which might not be available for a long time during a pandemic.

Dr. Garritsen pointed out that the last time the world suffered a true pandemic was the so-called "Spanish" Flu (it actually originated in Kansas, among birds), and that outbreaks of the pandemic reappeared over and over before fading into history.

Dr. Garritsen stated that our contemporary society is NOT prepared to survive a pandemic, with all of its complications.

Those complications will include such massive deaths that hospitals will be unable to function, public utilities may not be available, police and fire departments will be unmanned, and grocery stores won't have any groceries.

The only practical safety measure presently available is to isolate yourself from other people, and stockpile the supplies necessary to endure the period of time during which the pandemic will run its course.

No, that doesn't guarantee your survival, but it helps improve your chances.

Obviously, those of us who reside in metropolitan areas are doomed, for there is no way to protect ourselves from this virus, once it begins transferring from human to human.

Hmmm - - - , maybe we could start wearing face masks and gloves, and washing our hands over and over?

With little or no police protection, common sense dictates that we will need to arm ourselves.

To quote an ancient Chinese curse, we live in interesting times, huh?

I do hope this information will help someone.

May our Almighty God have mercy on us all.

MOVIE CRITIQUE: "THE SOUND OF MUSIC"

Greetings and Salutations to All my Kith and Kin and All the Ships in Outer Space:

As I'm typing this on Sunday 18 December 2005, one of my favorite movies is being aired on television.

"THE SOUND OF MUSIC" is the reason why some movies are better seen on the big screen in public theatres, rather than watching it on television, all alone in one's own residence.

I first saw this movie in a theatre many years ago, when I was still a teenager in Raleigh, North Carolina.

In fact, I loved the movie so much, I saw it five times in a row, until I ran out of money!

I adored the star, Julie Andrews, and wanted to marry her, but was shocked and disappointed when I was told that Julie Andrews was far older than I was.

One reason the movie must be seen on the big screen is the sensation of feeling the sudden drop as the alpine mountains sharply fall away in the opening scenes.

I remember seeing this same filming technique, with its accompanying sensation, in another major Hollywood motion picture, "MOTHER LODE", starring Charlton Heston, which is a murder mystery in British Columbia.

There too, the sensation cannot be fully appreciated unless the movie is seen on a full sized theatre screen, and not on a mere television.

Another reason for watching "THE SOUND OF MUSIC" in a public theatre, is to enjoy listening to the laughter from the audience as they react to the lines of comedy throughout the script, which you don't get when watching the same movie on television, alone in your residence.

And of course, if as I do, you sing and play guitar, you just have to learn the delightfully innocent songs featured in the movie.

I find myself all too easily able to empathize with the scenes where Captain Von Trapp is struggling to cope with the loss of personal liberty being imposed by Nazi collaborators, as that is what I see presently happening to our contemporary society in the United States of America.

What makes "THE SOUND OF MUSIC" even more wonderful is that the Von Trapp family are real people, who presently live in the United States of America, and their story is mostly true, despite ever present mocking denials by detractors.

There are invaluable truths to be learned from this movie, such as, "When God closes a door, somewhere He opens a window.", and you can't use religion or school as an excuse to avoid facing life's problems.

CONSIDERATIONS OF ARMED INSURRECTION 

GREETINGS and SALUTATIONS to All my Kith and Kin and All the Ships in Outer Space: 

When I entered the ranks of the United States Army, I publicly swore a sacred oath before Almighty God that I would support and defend the "CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" from all enemies, whether foreign or domestic.

In civilian life, that oath was repeated each time I was sworn in as a peace officer.

As a now deceased friend once pointed out, being discharged from the United States Army did not release us from our obligation to uphold that oath.

Since it was sworn before our Almighty God, only God can release us from our duty.

At the time I write this, during the wee hours of Saturday, the Seventeenth day of December in the year of our Lord, Two Thousand Five, I have been on this Earth for over half a century, approaching my sixtieth birthday next month.

Those who are not as old as I am can not know what life in the United States of America used to be like, and how much individual liberty has been forfeited, mostly due to general apathy and ignorance.

The loss of our individual liberty has not been recognized by our fellow citizens because it didn't happen dramatically, being imposed by cruel tyranny all at once, but it crept upon us a tiny bit at a time, over many, many decades, frequently under circumstances deliberately engineered to gain wide approval from the majority of our nation's population.

Nor can most of our fellow citizens comprehend the insidious effects of racial integration, forced on us at gunpoint, with its accompanying popular acceptance of lower literacy standards, ignorance, immorality, perversion, and general lack of civility.

How can the majority of contemporary adults and youth understand what they've never been exposed to?

Even now, so long as everyone is comfortable, there are no complaints about government tyranny.

But, as someone once observed, when the day comes that there is no more electricity - - - ?

When the day comes that we can't have pizza delivered as we watch television - - - ?

That day must come all too soon, due to overwhelming combinations of irresponsible fiscal appropriations, blatant corruption, immoral behavior, and outright negation of our Heaven inspired "CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" by despotic public officials.

Unfortunately, it is true that we can only regain our personal liberty by violence and bloodshed, for once government has usurped power, it is seldom willingly restored.

So, what are the ramifications of initiating a violent armed revolt to overthrow the present government of the United States of America?

Is such a thing even practical, considering how divided our population is, both racially and culturally?

Also, what of the effects of the public school system and the entertainment industry, with it's omnipresent government approved propaganda of "political correctness", plus its lack of instruction in American heritage?

If people are unable to recognize a problem, then how can they be expected to risk everything, including their own lives, in a probable hopelessly futile endeavor to correct that unperceived problem?

As I type this, our Armed Forces are involved in a global war on multiple fronts, with every man needed.

As a war veteran, I can't, in good conscience, countenance not standing united in support of our troops in their hour of peril, which means now is not the moment for armed revolt.

Indeed, I dearly wish I could join with or replace those soldiers who are presently risking life and limb, as I am experienced, and I have already lived my life.

On the other hand, when is our country NOT involved in war in some foreign land?

There is no end in sight for this present conflict, and sadly, our country no longer fights to obtain total victory, demanding unconditional surrender from any enemy, but instead, we inevitably settle for some unworkable compromise.

There is yet another horrible reality to be considered when proposing an armed revolt to overthrow the present government of the United States of America.

Who will we be fighting, and who will be dying?

To put it very bluntly, it will be our friends and neighbors.

Yes, we would have to ambush and murder police officers and United States soldiers, most of them young and blissfully unaware of any wrongdoing by the government which employs them.

Every one of them will have kinfolk who love them.

Many, if not the majority, of them will worship the same God we do, and they may even belong to the same church, civic clubs, or fraternal organizations as we do.

A citizen must VERY carefully weigh all other possible options prior to resorting to an armed revolt against one's own government, as such drastic measures can result in only one of two possibilities, with either total victory by the rebels, or their shameful public humiliation and execution as dastardly traitors to their own country.

But, history tells us that our forebearers have had to make such agonizing choices before, such as during the War for American Independence, the War for Texas Independence, and the War Between the States.

Now, what would be the goals which an armed revolt would seek to acheive?

What would replace the current despotic tyranny of our present government in the United States of America?

I am only one lone man, and can offer only my own personal perspective in this matter.

But, in the language of my Southern small town upbringing, if'n I had my "'druthers", I 'druther see the "CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" restored as the supreme law of the land, but with all amendments repealed, except for the original "BILL OF RIGHTS".

If'n I had my 'druthers, I 'druther see the restoration of "inalienable rights" for the individual citizen, as stated in our "DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE", with acceptance of Common Law, and sovereignty for the several States.

If'n I had my 'druthers, I 'druther see our public school system closed down and children educated by their parents, or in privately operated schools which would not be supervised, controlled, or financed by ANY government agency.

If'n I had my 'druthers, I 'druther see all United States military forces returned to this country, with the numbers of professional career personnel in the Armed Forces reduced to only a mere cadre for maintaining technical equipment and training militia.

If'n I had my 'druthers, I 'druther see our national defense provided by a universal citizen militia, organized and furnished by the several sovereign states, with every man properly armed, drilled, and equipped.

Our national defense policy should be restricted to only defending the United States of America from invasion.

The foreign policy of the United States of America should be restricted to exerting a positive influence for other nations to emulate by setting a proper example in our own country.

A large professional standing Army is an unnecessary drain on the taxpayers which must be justified, thereby tempting our federal government to continually employ them in questionable foreign adventures.

Letters of Marque and Reprisal, officially issued by the government of the United States of America to America's privately owned industrial firms would authorize protection of foreign business endeavors by privateers or mercenary forces, which would be composed only of American citizens.

If'n I had my 'druthers, I 'druther see our entire prison system and penal code completely scrapped and reconstructed according to the laws and practices of ancient Israel.

Of course, that would require people being educated about the true meaning of the scriptural references to "eye for an eye" and "tooth for a tooth", as most citizens do not understand what the Lord was actually talking about when He gave those laws to ancient Israel.

The ancient Israelites were nomadic and militant, continuously involved in warfare and wilderness survival, and thus, could not afford to build and maintain prisons.

Property offenders were sentenced to a period of servitude to the people they had victimized, dwelling with them in a normal family environment, and not in the abnormally perverse confines of a prison.

Only if the malefactor failed to meet their obligation, or if they attempted to escape, would any extreme physical penalties be imposed.

In the case of murder, or in the case of any and all sexual offenses, the culprit would be publicly executed, in broad daylight, by the victim's family and witnesses to the crime.

It would require some communities to be designated as cities of refuge, where those who unintentially caused someone's untimely demise could plead their case, and if deemed worthy, would be given protection from the victim's relatives.

It's not at all like our current prison system, which reinforces criminal behavior, and encourages homosexuality.

If'n I had my 'druthers, attorneys would be barred from holding elected office, nor would attorneys be permitted to serve as court judges.

Juries of one's peers must be regarded as sacred, with judges and attorneys prohibited from selecting or instructing members of the jury panels.

Laws must be written in simple language, so the ordinary citizen can easily understand them.

As there are already too many laws, if'n I had my 'druthers, I 'druther see Congress and the legislatures of the several sovereign states repeal three existing laws for every new law enacted.

If'n I had my 'druthers, impositions of separation of Church and State would apply only to the government, and not to the sundry and various churches.

Because this nation was pioneered by Christian pilgrims seeking religious freedom, churches should be free to exert influence over government policy, and our legal code should openly acknowledge, without apology or reservation, its origin and inspiration from the teachings of Jesus Christ.

If'n I had my 'druthers, Islam would be publicly renounced as a religion which seeks total domination or death for anyone who isn't Moslem. 

Islam is NOT a "religion of peace", except for the many adherents who do not truly live their religion, but are Moslem in name only.

Serious devoted followers of Islam menace everyone.

If'n I had my 'druthers, the present government regulation and restrictions of financial institutions and private free enterprise would be prohibited, as government control of business and finance constitutes fascism, which this nation once condemned and waged war against.

If'n I had my 'druthers, there would be no national income tax.

Instead, citizens would support their local community, which in turn would provide support to the state government, and the government of the United States of America would be required to rely for its support on the generosity of the several sovereign states.

Thus, the privacy of the individual citizen is preserved, and the government of the United States of America is induced to behave itself in a seemly manner.

If'n I had my 'druthers, there would be no restrictions on firearms for any citizen, thus compelling public officials to ensure their own survival by behaving themselves in a seemly manner.

Also, in addition to being well armed, each citizen would be encouraged to receive training in all aspects of public safety, including fire fighting, rescue techniques, emergency medical response, and disaster preparedness.

Thus, the need for tax supported professional police forces and fire departments would be greatly reduced.

If'n I had my 'druthers, white people could choose to live in all white neighborhoods, and if they so chose, would be permitted to do business with whomever they pleased, and refuse to transact business with whomever they please.

Presently, only white folk need this provision, as all other races and ethnicities are already permitted to do whatever they please, including indulging in blatant racial bias.

If'n I had my 'druthers, I 'druther see the old laws against homosexuality, adultery, and miscegenation reinstated, due to the general deterioration of society and the threat of eventual eradication of white folk.

If'n I had my 'druthers, there would be no such thing as "political correctness", "hate speech", or "hate crimes".

The onerous racially discriminatory policies of "equal opportunity" and "affirmative action" would be immediately discontinued.

All of those concepts are evil satanic ruses historically employed by Marxists, and have no place in a free American society where freedom of expression is supposedly guaranteed.

Well, there you have it - - - , my reverie manifesto, for whatever it's worth.

I reckon it'll stir up some name calling, accusations, and threats, huh?

Maybe the men in black will be knocking down my door in the wee hours, and I'll suddenly disappear.

But, don't you see that's my point?

We are no longer a free society, for we must now live in fear of offending those who reign over us.

Tragically, we are no longer the United States of America established by the Founding Fathers, and we haven't been for quite some time.

May our God have mercy on our nation and our brethren, and may we, the people, fervently seek true repentance.
