BIRDS

Greetings and Salutations to All my Kith and Kin and All the Ships in Outer Space:

A short while ago this morning, Thursday 21 November 2013, I looked out of the big floor to ceiling window of my quarters here at the Armed Forces Retirement Home in Gulfport, Mississippi, and saw this humongous flock of birds swarming around the culvert that runs underneath the railroad tracks.

So, I grabbed my camera and, stepping out onto my balcony, attempted to record what I was seeing.

For the best effect, please be sure and watch my homemade amateur video recording in "FULL SCREEN" mode.

No, I don't know what kind of birds they are, or what the food is that attracted them.

Unfortunately, the reflected daylight glare kept me from using the viewfinder to focus the camera, so that's why the video you now see is so jerky.

If you want to see some real fun, you should be here when a train passes by.

Every bird anywhere near the vicinity will panic, and in their confusion, birds fly in all directions, desperately seeking an escape from that horrible roaring monster that's coming towards them.

Thank you.
