TUESDAY 06 JUNE 1944 - - - "D-DAY" ! ! !

***********************************************************

Greetings and Salutations to All my Kith and Kin and All the Ships in Outer Space:

To view a larger version, please click on each of the photographs, and/or go to the official web sites of the United States Army and "D-DAY 1944".

My father was there, serving in the United States Army, but he arrived several days after D-Day.

Up until the day he passed away, he said little or nothing of what he saw or did there.

During the Second World War, my stepmother also served in the United States Army.

When I was a Private First Class in the United States Army, and landed in the old Republic of Viet Nam, I was the same age my father was when he landed on the beach in Normandy.

Also, both my father and I served in the 101st Airborne Division, he at Camp Breckenridge, Kentucky, and me when I was in the old Republic of Viet Nam.

Thank you.
