COMBAT PATROL

In this official United States Army photograph, taken by Sergeant Jennifer Cohen, our American soldiers in Afghanistan conduct a dismounted patrol in a village near Forward Operating Base Blessing on Monday 19 October 2009.

The soldiers are assigned to Company "A", Second Battalion, Twelfth Infantry Regiment, Fourth Brigade Combat Team, of the Fourth Infantry Division.

I remember the Fourth Infantry Division from many years ago, when I was a young soldier in Viet Nam.

Just like in Viet Nam, these guys in Afghanistan have a REALLY tough, almost impossible, job.

Oh, may our Heavenly Father bless them, preserve them, and see them safely home again!
