LET'S ALL CELEBRATE CONSTITUTION DAY!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to our beloved United States of America!

(For a larger view, please click on each of the pictures.)

Two hundred and twenty-three years ago, on 17 September 1787, the divinely inspired Constitution of the United States of America was signed, and our nation ceased being a confederacy and became a republic, with George Washington installed as the first president of the newly created republic.

In observance of the two hundred and twenty-third anniversary of this event, on Friday 17 September 2010, at 1400 Hours, Eastern Time, the first two hundred and twenty-three visitors to the National Archives in Washington, D.C. will get a slice of birthday cake, and meet Dolley Madison, the wife of James Madison, fourth President of the United States of America, and author of our sacred Constitution of the United States of America.

Words and Music by:
JOHN ROBERT MALLERNEE
Tuesday 21 October 1986
Ogden, Utah

VERSE # 1:
Parchment, quill,
And the people's will
In a sacred land;
With sword and pen,
The rebel men
Made a noble stand.

CHORUS:
The light goes forth
Throughout the World
To shine for all to see.
"We, the People" forevermore
Born of God to stay free!
"We, the People" forevermore
Born of God to stay free!

VERSE # 2:
Freedom's light
Was born of fight
Against a tyrant king.
Nothing's free
Or comes easily.
You work for everything.

VERSE # 3:
Federal power
Can grow by hour,
The Founders warned us all.
Search and fight
For what is right,
Or you'll see Liberty fall!
