United States Senator Charles "Chuck" Grassley, a Republican from Iowa, is attempting to investigate this, but his efforts are being deliberately thwarted by Attorney General Eric Holder, the Department of Justice, and agents of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives.
If nothing is done, an agent of the United States Border Patrol and veteran of the United States Marine Corps will have died in the desert, murdered by a Mexican smuggler using a rifle furnished by our own BATFE agents, and any and all knowledge of this crime will be officially denied and swept under the rug.
As I understand it, it is alleged that the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives has been smuggling (or allowing it) into Mexico weapons obtained in the United States of America, in order to manufacture statistical evidence that will justify having their agency's funding increased by Congress.
Make some noise, Folks, and ask these guys some embarrassing questions.
