WORKING ON THE RAILROAD

**************************************

For the best effect, please enjoy watching my homemade amateur video recording in "FULL SCREEN" mode.

This is video I recorded at approximately 1000 Hours, plus 05 Minutes, on Thursday 12 July 2012, looking due North from the balcony of my quarters on the third floor of the Armed Forces Retirement Home in Gulfport, Mississippi, using my hand held Kodak "Easy Share" Z710 zoom lens digital camera, in video mode, with 7.1 megapixels of screen resolution.

It was difficult for me to record this because of the severe pain in my back.

What, exactly, are we looking at?

I have no idea, except it's obviously some sort of track maintenance, with the letters, "CSX", clearly marked on the machinery.

These tracks normally get a LOT of heavy railroad traffic, with freight being hauled between New Orleans, Louisiana and Mobile, Alabama.

Prior to the horrendous destruction wrought by Hurricane Katrina in 2005, these tracks were also used by the Amtrak "Sunset Limited" passenger train, and according to local news reports, the city of Biloxi, Mississippi is currently negotiating efforts to have Amtrak passenger service restored to this area.
