For the best effect, please be sure and watch, in "FULL SCREEN" mode, my homemade amateur video recording of a presentation by the 53d Weather Reconnaissance Squadron "Hurricane Hunters", part of the 403d Wing, whose specially equipped Lockheed WC-130J "Weatherbird" aircraft operate from nearby Keesler Air Force Base.

Although the Armed Forces Retirement Home has been designed to withstand a Category 5 Hurricane, we residents have been warned that the floor to ceiling windows in our personal quarters might get blown out by the high winds and flying debris.

Also, our personal vehicles could be destroyed by the tornadoes that accompany the hurricane.

In a previous hurricane, Gulfport, Mississippi was hit by TWENTY-SEVEN (27) tornadoes!

Accordingly, we residents here at the Armed Forces Retirement Home have been advised to stockpile, in our personal quarters, goodies to snack on, bottled drinking water, extra prescription medication, and our "favorite toilet paper".
