Video of Satellite Shoot Down

Greetings and Salutations to All my Kith and Kin and All the Ships in Outer Space:

Here is a video of the SM-3 missile destroying the satellite .

The SM-3 missile was launched from the United States Navy cruiser, USS Lake Erie, in the Pacific Ocean.

The top secret spy satellite, operated by the National Reconnaissance Office, was destroyed at 2226 Hours (i.e., 10:26 PM) Eastern Standard Time on Wednesday 20 February 2008.

Here is another video which shows the missile being launched, and impacting the satellite.

Ain't this neat stuff?

Of course, there's lots of idle speculation going on about the possible REAL reasons for ordering the satellite shot down, as the official justification that was offered sounded rather illogical and unbelievable.

Likewise, there's also speculation that Russia and China may have had other reasons for objecting to America's action, which the Russians and Chinese don't dare reveal.
