Brothers and Sisters: This is a photograph of Elder Gale Lim, and his wife, Sister Lim, from Blackfoot, Idaho. They are full-time missionaries for The Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter-day Saints, assigned to work in the office of the Washington, D.C. North Mission, and to act as Home Teachers. Be sure and click on the picture to see a larger view. In this photograph, taken today, Monday 09 March 2009, they are home teaching me in my room here at the Armed Forces Retirement Home. I ordered pizza and chicken, and sang them a song, "THE GIFT", composed by Ian Tyson, about the life of Western artist, Charlie Russell. We had a good time talking about Idaho and cowboys. Then, Sister Lim read me a nice thought, a quote from President Gordon B. Hinckley, and Elder Lim gave a closing prayer. One of these days, they're planning to treat us LDS residents of the Soldiers' Home to a nice picnic down by the ponds, where there are picnic tables, and we can enjoy the ducks and geese, and maybe even see the deer. Thank you.
