Missionary Photograph

Brothers and Sisters:

This is a photograph of Elder Gale Lim, and his wife, Sister Lim, from Blackfoot, Idaho.

They are full-time missionaries for The Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter-day Saints, assigned to work in the office of the Washington, D.C. North Mission, and to act as Home Teachers.

In this photograph, taken today, Monday 09 March 2009, they are home teaching me in my room here at the Armed Forces Retirement Home.

I ordered pizza and chicken, and sang them a song, "THE GIFT", composed by Ian Tyson, about the life of Western artist, Charlie Russell.

We had a good time talking about Idaho and cowboys.

Then, Sister Lim read me a nice thought, a quote from President Gordon B. Hinckley, and Elder Lim gave a closing prayer.

One of these days, they're planning to treat us LDS residents of the Soldiers' Home to a nice picnic down by the ponds, where there are picnic tables, and we can enjoy the ducks and geese, and maybe even see the deer.

Thank you.
