OATH KEEPERS, an organization of military and police personnel who vow to keep their sworn oath to uphold and defend the CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, will meet on the Green at Lexington, Massachusetts, on Sunday 19 April 2009, to renew their vows, and affirm that they will not obey orders which are in violation of the CONSTITUTION.
Here is where it all began, two hundred and thirty-four years ago, with the "shot heard 'round the world".
On 19 April 1775, seventy-seven men and boys stood on the Green at Lexington, Massachusetts, in defiance of the largest and most powerful army in the entire World.
The local militia had gathered there because they had been warned that the regular army was coming to take away their firearms and ammunition.
