Tithing ELECTRONICALLY ! ! !

Brothers and Sisters: Guess what I just now did? I paid my tithe and fast offering. Well, that's not news, is it? But, I did it ELECTRONICALLY, on the Internet, using my notebook computer ! ! ! Never again, will I have the aggravation of writing a check, filling out a tithing slip, licking an envelope and stamp, and hassling with postal "snail" mail. What's more, the Church will e-mail my tithing statement as a PDF attachment. Ain't that super convenient? It's about time! I've suggested it for years, but they always said it couldn't be done. Their address is: The Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter-day Saints Finance and Records Department Room 1521 50 East North Temple Street Salt Lake City, Utah 84150 Telephone: 801-240-2554 E-Mail: donations@ldschurch.org At your request, they'll e-mail you a bill pay form to fill out, which you then e-mail back to them. Your account number is your Church membership number. Then, you go to the web site of your financial institution, and create a separate bill pay account for each donation category, i.e., tithe, fast offering, perpetual education fund, missionary, et cetera. Once you've done that, you just pay your tithe and offerings, using your computer. Don't you just love living in this age of advanced high technology? Ain't we so lucky? Thank you.
