It was signed on 04 July 1776 by John Hancock, President of the Continental Congress, and Charles Thomson, Secretary of the Continental Congress.

The delegates from the Thirteen Colonies signed the "DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE" on 02 August 1776.
