"SAINT ANTHONY, IDAHO"
Words and Music by:
JOHN ROBERT MALLERNEE
Saturday 19 March 1994
INTRO:
Idaho!
That's where I want to go,
North to Idaho.
Saint Anthony, Idaho
Is a friendly place to go.
Here's where you can catch a fish
For your evening supper dish.
Henry's Fork runs right through town.
So, just set your tackle down.
You might even scream and shout
When you catch a record trout!
It's the Fremont County seat.
It is quiet and it's neat;
Just a peaceful little town
Where nice folks can settle down.
You can see the Teton's snow
From this part of Idaho.
In the Winter, snow sleds race
From Montana to this place.
At the "ROXY", there are plays
For the folks on Summer days.
At the "SILVER HORSESHOE" bar,
Couples dance to a guitar.
Saint Anthony, Idaho
Is a place for kids to grow;
Just a quiet Western town
Where good people settle down.
CONCLUDE:
Idaho!
That's where I'm gonna go,
Home to Idaho.
