In August of 1971, when I was a soldier in the United States Army, serving in the Republic of Viet Nam with the 101st Airborne Division "Screaming Eagles", I visited the land of Israel.
If you ever get the chance to go there, it will be a very elevating and inspirational experience.
Israel truly is "a combination of the Bible, and - - - Hollywood!"
