According to the British newspaper, THE TELEGRAPH, the United States Department of Defense is officially denying statements by Brigadier General Neil H. Tolley, United States Army, that Special Forces teams have parachuted into North Korea to conduct reconnaissance missions.

Brigadier General Neil H. Tolley
Personally, I suspect that the statement is false, intended as a deliberate ruse to confuse and worry the North Korean government.

However, it is far more likely that reconnaissance missions have been conducted by Republic of Korea special forces, as they would be better able to infiltrate and blend in with the surrounding population.
For the best effect, please be sure and watch this NBC Nightly News television report by reporter, Richard Engel, in "FULL SCREEN" mode.

This video was posted at the MSN web site on Saturday 21 April 2012.

Interestingly, NBC has chosen to show it ONLY on the Internet.

Here is a slide show of photographs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea garnered from previous news reports.

For the best effect, please enjoy viewing the slide show in "FULL SCREEN" mode.

Unfortunately, because it was well over a year ago, I don't remember who the photographers were or which news source I obtained these from, else I would gladly attribute proper credit.

If you go to the official web site of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, you'll see a whole bunch more photographs, plus a selection of their music.
