As I type this, our national debt exceeds sixteen trillion dollars.
According to our divinely inspired Constitution of the United States of America, our Congress, and ONLY Congress, is responsible for incurring that national debt.
I ain't no lawyer, but I'm sort of wondering - - - ?
When individual congressmen and/or senators are back in their home districts, can the local sheriff and/or district attorney arrest and prosecute them for defrauding the taxpayers?
If the local sheriff and/or district attorney refuse to arrest and prosecute elected officials for defrauding the taxpayers, can that local sheriff and/or district attorney be subject to disciplinary proceedings and/or civil litigation for their dereliction of duty?
Can the taxpayers get together and file a class action lawsuit against each individual congressman and/or senator?
