Greetings and Salutations to All my Kith and Kin and All the Ships in Outer Space:
There is an oft quoted curse, that says, "May you live in interesting times".
If you've read my previous posts and/or comments that are publicized throughout the computer Internet, then you're aware of how sadly that, as a retired, elderly, disabled war veteran, I observe the continuous deterioration of our contemporary society, as evidenced by increasingly obvious corruption of all of our national, state, and local government entities, as well as our sacred institutions, to include my own chosen faith, The Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter-day Saints.
These ARE indeed, "interesting times" that we're cursed (?) to be living through these days.
But, do you know what?
In spite of any sadness or depression I might be personally feeling, I actually consider myself to be very blessed!
After all, I'm dwelling on Earth at a period in history when so many things are happening, and, lo and behold, I get to be an eyewitness!
Ain't that neat?
It's reminiscent of a similar event described within the pages of the BOOK OF MORMON, where the prophet, Ether, hides in a cave during the day, venturing forth at night to witness the destruction of his people, which he then records.
Having been thus blessed, I think those of us who are of advanced age are entrusted with a sacred duty.
While we yet live, IF they will heed our words, it is our responsibility to TRY and teach the younger generations about what life used to be like in our United States of America, and in my own chosen faith, The Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter-day Saints, in those long ago years before they were born.
Outside of television, Hollywood movies, and public school textbooks, the young folks of our day have little or no opportunity to learn of this stuff, so it is essential, in order to effectively combat the nefarious satanic influences among our own people from government propaganda, totalitarian tyranny, elitist despotism, social conditioning, "politically correct" distortions of our English language, and revisionist history.
We are all thus heatedly engaged in both, a mortal and eternal, life and death struggle, ever valiantly battling in behalf of liberty, morality, purity, idealism, intellectual wisdom, perpetuation of ancestral heritage, and spiritual development.
Them there's MY thoughts.
