Hymn: "COME, ONE AND ALL"

Greetings and Salutations to All my Kith and Kin and All the Ships in Outer Space:

Here is a hymn I composed quite a few years ago.

I don't remember exactly when I wrote it, but I think it was around 1975, when I was a soldier stationed at Fort Hood, Texas.

"COME, ONE AND ALL"

Words and Music By:
John Robert "SAIGON" Mallernee

VERSE # 1:

Come, one and all,
And join in the song.
Heed ye the call
And be guided along.
Serve your God.
Hold to the iron rod.
The case for sin
Is groundless.
Praise the Lord
For His holy word,
His charity
Is boundless.

VERSE # 2:

No need to mope
With dispirited sigh.
Rejoice in hope
For glory on high.
Lift your face
And receive His grace.
He'll make your
Burdens lighter.
Constantly pray
As you follow the way.
Work towards a world
That's brighter.

VERSE # 3:

Have high desire.
Kneel and confide.
The spirit's fire
Casts weakness aside.
Strive to live
With love to give.
Hold forth
A helping hand.
Join in the fight
In defending the right.
With our Almighty God,
We'll stand.

CONCLUDE:

Join in the fight
In defending the right.
With our Almighty God,
We'll stand.

COMPOSED: 07 February 1975 in Copperas Cove, Texas

I have done it in church with a piano accompaniment, but I prefer doing this song while strumming simple chords on my guitar.

Thank you.
