Greetings and Salutations to All my Kith and Kin and All the Ships in Outer Space:

Today is Saturday 21 December 2013, and one hundred years ago, on Sunday 21 December 1913, the very first crossword puzzle, created by Arthur Wynne (22 June 1871 - 14 January 1945), was published in the "NEW YORK WORLD" newspaper.

THE FIRST CROSSWORD PUZZLE
Here is one of my favorite crossword puzzles, the "SATURDAY STUMPER", published today, Saturday 21 December 2013, at the web site of the "CHICAGO SUN - TIMES" newspaper.

For a larger view that's easier to read, please click on the two (02) "Before" and "After" screen shots of the "SATURDAY STUMPER" crossword puzzle for Saturday 21 December 2013.

Notice that it took me an hour and a half to solve it, but I did it without using ANY clues or assistance, i.e., checking letters, searching the Internet, et cetera.

Now therefore, shalt YOU goest thou forth and doest thou likewise.

Ain't this neat?

Have fun, y'all!

Thank you.
