ATTENTION Armed Forces Retirement Home Staff: I just now looked at our mess hall's dinner and supper menu for Sunday 22 February 2009. According to the menu, the dessert will be lemon cream cake. Excuse me for being old fashioned and living in the past, but I'd like to see tradition observed. The Twenty-Second day of February is the birthday of George Washington, the father of our country, who set the standard of conduct for all subsequent Presidents of the United States, and, by act of Congress in 1976, is our ONLY General of the Armies of the United States. It's traditional to have cherry pie for dessert on that day. Can our mess hall make the appropriate adjustment to the menu? Thank you.
