"DON'T LOOK BACK"

Composer Unknown (To Me)

VERSE ONE:
Orpheus melted
The heart of Persephone.
But, I never had yours.
I followed you back
To the end of the path.
But, I never found the door.

CHORUS:
And you can work
To save your love.
You can bear it
From the earth below.
You can work.
But, you can't let go.
Oh! oh!
But, you have to know.
Don't look back.
All you'll ever get
Is the dust
From the steps before.
I don't have to see
You every day.
But, I just want
To know you're there.

VERSE TWO:
Quietly took to
The dark of the day
And the heat
Of the summer night.
The heat of the breeze
Was a cell block wall,
And when I looked,
You were out of sight.

I'm especially grateful to the STUFF BLACK PEOPLE DON'T LIKE web site for calling my attention to this precious rare gem of a video recording.

I love her blue eyes.

Ooooh, I want to kiss those pink lips!

I love how she wriggles when she dances.

I like the sound when she hits those low notes in the song.

I like those girly things she does with her hands at the end of the video.

Ain't she just totally a living DOLL?

According to DNA research conducted by scientists at the University of Copenhagen in the Kingdom of Denmark, she and I are related.

We both have blue eyes.

Those Danish scientists discovered that everyone with blue eyes has a common ancestor, who lived in Russia, near the Black Sea.

Yes, I reckon I'm naught but a lonely, dirty old man living out my final days in a military retirement home, but, I can watch this over and over and over again!

And I can still DREAM, can't I, unseemly and impossible though it may be?

Hey, I'm a guy - - - I like girls.

Thank you.
