VETERANS DAY 2011

For the best effect, please watch these official Department of Veterans Affairs and Department of Defense videos in "FULL SCREEN" mode.

Unfortunately, in communities on the Gulf Coast of Mississippi, local Veterans Day events are being scheduled for Saturday 12 November 2011, all without even a murmur of protest from the residents or staff here at the Armed Forces Retirement Home in Gulfport, Mississippi, or from neighboring Keesler Air Force Base, or the Naval Construction Battalion Center Gulfport.

My lone attempts to elucidate others about our heritage, and the importance of all Veterans Day activities beginning at precisely the Eleventh Hour on the Eleventh Day of the Eleventh Month, which commemorates the original Armistice of 1918, have been in vain, and in fact, ridiculed.

Similarly, I have been informed that the Saints at War Conference being held at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah on Veterans Day, Friday 11 November 2011, will begin at 1000 Hours, a full hour before the Eleventh Hour, even though I have repeatedly called their attention to this grievous and insulting error.

Am I completely alone in trying to preserve our heritage?

Why don't other veterans speak up?

Why would The Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter-day Saints, which owns and operates Brigham Young University, permit the faculty to ignore a sacred historic tradition?

Sadly, I'm not looking forward to anything I can celebrate this coming Friday, because, let's face it - - - there won't be any celebrations or observances, will there?

For me, it's just one more part of our United States of America being deliberately suppressed and tossed into the trash can - - - and nobody even cares.

Of course not, as all they are concerned with is their comfort. Like you have mentioned before, retribution is coming for this nation and not in the form of the Lord.
