Each morning, I go to the MERRIAM-WEBSTER web site to solve the UNIVERSAL CRYPTOGRAM puzzle.

The puzzle for today, Wednesday 01 August 2012, was unusually good, for it took me THREE (03) attempts before I solved it!

Usually, I solve the puzzle within a couple of minutes.

I'm not positive, but I think the UNIVERSAL CRYPTOGRAM at the MERRIAM-WEBSTER web site is the ONLY cryptogram puzzle currently available on the Internet.

The best cryptogram puzzles I ever worked were in the pages of the AIR FORCE TIMES newspaper, which was way back before home computers and the Internet, but alas and alack (Ah lack a lass!), they don't have any cryptograms on their web site.

I enjoy CODEWORD puzzles most of all, but I can't find any on the Internet.

There used to be one at the THINKS web site, but it stopped working a long time ago.

Anyway, it was too easy, for they provided clues, which ruined the fun.
