Dear Mr. Mallernee:

Thank you for contacting me to share your thoughts regarding The National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2012, H.R. 1540. As your Congressman, I am committed to putting the needs of Mississippi families first and knowing your views and ideas on Federal legislation is critical in order to best represent you. To this extent, your comments and ideas are always appreciated.

The final version of the National Defense Authorization Bill (NDAA) passed the House on December 14. The bill provides the weapons and equipment for our troops need as well as pay and benefits.

I understand concerns regarding the president's ability to hold individuals in military detention. That is why the Senate included language, for the first time ever, to address to gray areas in current law by giving congressional guidance and put a check on the Administration's power in this area. I believe we must work to maintain a careful balance between Americans' constitutional rights and liberties and providing for the common defense against our enemies.

To ensure the language included in this year's defense bill protects the rights of citizens while keeping the American people safe from terrorists, specific provisions were added in Section 1021 and Section 1022 of the bill.

Section 1021 only gives authority for detention of those working in league with al-Qaeda, the Taliban, and those that were involved in plotting the September 11th terrorist attacks. Language was also added that specifically states: "Nothing in this section shall be construed to affect existing law or authorities relating to the detention of United States citizens, lawful resident aliens of the United States, or any other persons who are captured or arrested in the United States."

Under Section 1022 dealing with "Military Custody for Foreign Al-Qaeda Terrorists" subsection (b) paragraph (1) states: "The requirement to detain a person in military custody under this section does not extend to citizens of the United States."

Before voting on this crucial piece of legislation, I read the bill carefully and sought the advice of constitutional lawyers and experts in this area to further ensure the constitutional rights of American citizens are fully protected.

This bill was signed into law on December 31, 2011. I will continue to stand firmly to protect the rights of American citizens while ensuring we have the ability to defend ourselves against "all enemies, foreign and domestic."

I used to love watching television shows and Hollywood movies.

But, alas, not any more, at least, not the current productions.

Even newspapers, magazines, and radio broadcasts have lost my interest.

After all, how do we enjoy "freedom of the press" when every news agency is parroting the identical government approved propaganda?

Having been fortunate enough to have survived this long (and, yes, in retrospect, I often do wonder how?), I can remember when life in these United States of America was quite different - - - , i.e., safer and more pleasant.

Way back then (especially prior to Nineteen Sixty), movies used to be entertaining, and fun to watch for the entire family.

Likewise, the old television programs were pure entertainment, whether hilarious situation comedies or good ol' fashioned shoot 'em up, bang! bang! cowboy shows.

There was no obvious political message or social conditioning that I remember.

By contrast, current productions by all of our contemporary mass media appear to be united in constantly promoting and perpetuating messages that are blatantly anti-White, anti-male, anti-Christian, and anti-American.

I stopped subscribing to cable television well over a year ago, and now have only a regular antenna for public broadcast stations.

Instead, I rely almost exclusively on the World Wide Web of the computer Internet for alternatives in information and entertainment, because the variety and sources of amusement and intelligence that are available seem almost infinite.

However, there's always the danger, which apparently is increasing, that the Internet is and will be eventually controlled by the restrictive forces of "political correctness", such as is already evident in the YAHOO!, GOOGLE, AMERICA ON LINE, and YOU TUBE web sites, among a rapidly growing list of many others.

Until very recently, I used to occasionally watch programs on my local public broadcast television, using a digital converter antenna.

But, I quickly lost interest when WLOX-TV Channel 13 ceased broadcasting the "THIS" network, and instead, began airing the "BOUNCE" network in its place.

When you see the sort of stuff that's aired on the BOUNCE television network, or is proudly publicized at the WORLD STAR HIP HOP web site, do you still wonder why some of us old White folks remain racially prejudiced against Negroes when viewed as a group?

Personally, I see nothing wrong with being racially prejudiced, biased, bigoted, or "racist"(?), for I consider such inner feelings, especially when reinforced by years of personal experience and general observation, to be natural survival instincts given to us by our God Almighty for our own protection.

After all, the reason we refer to so-called racial "stereotypes" is because they are so typical.

Now, as for the current Presidential candidate debates being aired - - - ,

To me, it appears completely orchestrated and meaningless, for I believe the Republican Party selected who their choice would be a long time ago, and all of this "debate" nonsense is nothing but show.

Thus, I don't waste my time watching any of it, and barely glance at headlines indicating results.

To repeat an unfortunate truism that is frequently stated, there's no longer any difference between the Republican Party and the Democrat Party, leaving the voters no real discernible option.

Are people REALLY that stupid?

I'm sure grateful that I live in an age of music recorded on compact discs, movies recorded on digital video discs, streaming video on the World Wide Web of the computer Internet, chat rooms, instant messaging, web cameras, personal web sites, personal video channels, digital video cameras, cellular telephones, and personal navigation devices.

Wow!!!

And every bit of that stuff, including the journey of humans to the Moon, has been invented or attained within my own lifetime!

Wow!!!

What a time to be living on this Earth!

I'm also grateful that I'm blessed with eyesight for reading books, ears for listening to music, and fingers for playing musical instruments.

I'm especially blessed with sufficient command of the English language (an increasingly rare phenomenon) that I can publicly express my opinions, and I'm especially blessed that I've been endowed by my Heavenly Father with the gift of music, being able to compose original material, and/or mimic, memorize, and perform the songs I've heard that I like.

Thus, even if deprived by circumstances of all of the advantages of modern technology, I can still provide much of my own entertainment and amusement.

And, for young folks, IF they are interested (but, why would they be?), my memories are a sort of living encyclopaedia, for I've "been there, done that", "seen the elephant", and can readily teach them of bygone eras of the old republic, "a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away".

Yes, my personal opinions are unpopular and controversial, but so what?

Whatever became of respect for education, creative intelligence, and independent thinking?

I'm very proud of being a native American citizen.

But, like the character(s) in the movie, "DOCTOR ZHIVAGO", I just wish folks would tell the truth.

And, why?

Because it IS so!

H.R. 3166 - - - "ENEMY EXPATRIATION ACT"

Thanks to the ARCTIC PATRIOT web site and to Joshua Bennett at the PATRIOT'S LAMENT web site, I have just now learned of a new threat to American liberty currently being contemplated by our own government of the United States of America for use against its own citizens.

H.R. 3166, the "ENEMY EXPATRIATION ACT", dated Wednesday 12 October 2011, which is sponsored by Representative Charles Dent, a Republican from Pennsylvania, with support from Representatives Jason Altmire, a Democrat from Pennsylvania, Robert E. Latta, a Republican from Ohio, and Frank Wolf, a Republican from Virginia, is currently in the House Subcommittee on Immigration Policy and Enforcement.

Here is the text of this proposed legislation:

A BILL

To add engaging in or supporting hostilities against the United States to the list of acts for which United States nationals would lose their nationality.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

This Act may be cited as the `Enemy Expatriation Act'.

SEC. 2. LOSS OF NATIONALITY.

(a) In General- Section 349 of the Immigration and Nationality Act (8 U.S.C. 1481) is amended--

(1) in subsection (a)--

(A) in each of paragraphs (1) through (6), by striking `or' at the end;

(B) in paragraph (7), by striking the period at the end and inserting `; or'; and

(C) by adding at the end the following:

`(8) engaging in, or purposefully and materially supporting, hostilities against the United States.'; and

(2) by adding at the end the following:

`(c) For purposes of this section, the term `hostilities' means any conflict subject to the laws of war.'.

(b) Technical Amendment- Section 351(a) of the Immigration and Nationality Act (8 U.S.C. 1483(a)) is amended by striking `(6) and (7)' and inserting `(6), (7), and (8)'.

WHEREAS, on Wednesday 14 December 2011, the House of Representatives of the United States of America voted, in the form of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2012, in favor of indefinite military detention, without charges, of citizens of the United States of America on United States soil, without due process of law, at the discretion of the government alone;

WHEREAS, on Thursday 15 December 2011, the Senate of these United States of America voted in favor of the same bill;

WHEREAS, on Saturday 31 December 2011, the President of the United States of America signed the same bill into law;

WHEREAS, the proscription against the use of military force to police the populace has been an essential feature of American civic life and civic liberty since the arrival of our civilization upon this continent;

WHEREAS, the wanton violation of this proscription was one of the chief causes of the separation of the American people from their government in Great Britain;

WHEREAS, our divinely inspired Constitution of the United States of America so chartering the government of these United States of America, in Section 3 of Article III, states that "No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court."

WHEREAS, our divinely inspired Constitution of the United States of America so chartering the government of these United States of America, in Amendment V, states that no person shall be "deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law";

WHEREAS, the House of Representatives, the United States Senate, and the President of the United States of America have ignored the plain text of our divinely inspired Constitution of the United States of America;

WHEREAS, in openly ignoring its founding document, the government of these United States of America has forfeited any semblance of legitimacy;

WHEREAS, the use of such draconian measures has been an essential feature of the enforcement of tyranny by every totalitarian government of this and previous centuries;

WHEREAS, the use of such draconian measures is carefully calculated to quash all political dissent amongst a captive people;

WHEREAS, the codification of such draconian measures effectively nullifies all civil liberties the people may hope to hold;

And WHEREAS, the codification of such draconian measures is an act of war against the population at large;

THEREFORE, be it declared that as of this date, Sunday 01 January 2012, New Year's Day, that a STATE OF WAR hereby now formally exists between the current Government of these United States of America and the People of these United States of America, perpetrated by that Government against the People.

We, the People of these United States of America, do now declare that any and all attempts to enforce the provisions of the National Defense Authorization Act to be unlawful, void, and of no force.

We declare ALL WHO voted in favor of the National Defense Authorization Act, and ALL WHO attempt to enforce the National Defense Authorization Act to be traitors to these United States of America, punishable under law.

We SHALL DISOBEY, APPREHEND, OR RESIST WITH FORCE OF ARMS, at our discretion, any person who attempts to enforce the provisions of the National Defense Authorization Act.

We SHALL NOT aggress against any federal, state, or local government employee who shall not attempt to enforce or aid and abet the enforcement of the National Defense Authorization Act, they being as trapped by these circumstances as the rest of the populace.

Such STATE OF WAR shall continue until the National Defense Authorization Act is stricken from the code of law, and all who had a hand in the National Defense Authorization Act are removed from positions of power.

In this patriotic endeavor, we now appeal to the powers of Heaven and the moral conscience of our fellow American citizens.

And in this patriotic endeavor, just as our forefathers did, so do we now mutually pledge our lives, our fortunes, and our sacred honor.

May our God Almighty have mercy on all of us and bless these United States of America.
